What We Believe
We are the North Stonington Bible Church firmly believe the great doctrines of historic Christianity as they are revealed in the Bible. A complete doctrinal statement in the church’s Constitution and By-laws is available on request.
We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God, inerrant in the original manuscripts, and the final authority for faith and daily living.
(II Timothy 3:16-17, II Peter 1:20-21)
We believe there is one God eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
(Deuteronomy 6:4, II Corinthians 13:14)
We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His substitutionary death for our sins, and His bodily resurrection.
(Hebrews 1:8, 10:10-14, Matthew 1:23,
II Corinthians 5:21, Romans 1:3-4)
We believe all men are sinners by nature and by practice; are sentenced to eternal separation from God, and in need of personal regeneration.
(Romans 3:9-10, John 3:3)
We believe salvation is the gift of God offered to all by grace through personal faith in Jesus Christ.
(Ephesians 2:8-9, John 3:16-18)
